Raging Grannies at the 2005 Peace March in Vancouver

We are the Vancouver branch of a worldwide group of older women trying to make the world a better place to leave to our grandchildren, through action and satirical song. If you wish to join us in Vancouver, please contact Robyn at: dandrsmith@shaw.ca
Although not asked to "officially" participate in the annual Peace Walk, the Vancouver Raging Grannies will, of course, be present, and hopefully our ranks will be strengthened with the addition of some Grannies from Bellingham, Washington, and any others who may want to join us.
Gearing up for the coming provincial election, this groups launched its "First Aid Action Kit" at the 411 Seniors Centre Friday March 11, 2005. We sang several of our songs in support of maintaining free universal health care for all prior to the main speaker, Sylvia MacLeay.
Our next appearance will be at Capilano College in North Vancouver on March 8 at noon. We performed there last year for International Women's Day and they must have liked us as we are going back. It is always heartwarming to see the reception we get from college students.
